What is Upward Basketball and Cheerleading?
Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is a program that is designed for children 4 years old through 2nd grade. Upward basketball and cheerleading focuses on building character, self-esteem, sportsmanship, and athletic skills through positive and encouraging techniques. This is accomplished through the utilization of Upward coaches, team parents, and volunteers.
Our league is aimed to teach children that WINNING is not dependant on the scoreboard; however, it is defined by learning and/or teaching lessons in the game of life!
Unique League Structure: Children will be taught fundamental skills and techniques for various skill levels that will challenge and motivate the individual player. He/She will learn team building skills through drills and exercises. Each team will follow an equally fair substitution rotation during games. The rules unique to Upward Basketball are designed to recognize that Every Child Is A Winner.
