Beliefs
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21)
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1, 2b; Deut. 6:4)
- We believe in the special creation by God done in six literal days of the creation week and in the Biblical record of history, including the literal existence of Adam and Eve as the ancestors of all people, the literal fall, the resulting divine curse on the creation, and the worldwide catastrophe, known as the Universal Flood. (Gen. 1:5-23; Ex. 20:11)
- We believe that Jesus Christ is God; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His atoning death; in His shed blood; in His rising again in Human form on Earth; in His ascension to the Father's right hand; and in His personal, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return for His saints and with His saints at the revelation. (I Jn. 5:20)
- We believe that man is totally depraved, a sinner (lost) by nature, and, therefore, in need of the converting and regenerating ministry of the Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:3; Rom. 1:18)
- We believe that Satan exists; in his power and kingdom; in his deceit; in his judgment at the cross; and his eternal destruction in Hell. (Isa. 14:12-17; Eph. 2:2, 6:12)
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit; that He convicts the sinner; regenerates the one who believes; indwells, seals, instructs, reproves, and guides the believer; that He fills and controls every life that is wholly yielded to Him; however, we are not part of the "charismatic" movement. (Heb. 10:10-14; I Thess. 5:23)
- We believe that salvation is the gift of God offered to man by His grace and received by personal repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is by grace--plus nothing, minus nothing. (Jn. 6:29; Eph. 2:8-9)
- We believe in the security of the believer. Once saved, always kept preserved by the power of God. (Jn. 10:27-28; Rom. 5:10)
- We believe upon conversion, one should follow the Lord in believer's baptism (immersion) and become a member of that Bible-believing local church. (Acts 10:47)
- We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell. (I Thess. 4:16, Mat. 8:11-12, Rev. 20:15)
- We believe that communion is a symbolic act of obedience where believers in Christ, through the partaking of the bread and juice, remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Communion is a time of self-examination and self-cleansing by the confession of any known sins. We believe partaking in communion is something the Lord has commanded for believers to do until His return. (Mat. 26:26-29 & 1Cor. 11:23-32)
